"Matassoob" is a product approved by the U.S. Department of Labor, designed as an environmentally friendly oil absorbent that does not cause pollution when incinerated. It can absorb liquids primarily composed of oil up to about 12 times its own weight. It absorbs various oils but hardly absorbs water.
